Rexburg, Idaho
Deep tissue massage in Rexburg.
Targeted, slower-paced pressure for chronic tension, stubborn knots, and the shoulders and low back that never quite let go. Performed by licensed therapists in a private treatment room.

Deep tissue massage is not simply harder pressure. It is slower, more deliberate work through the layers of muscle and fascia that everyday tension locks together - the upper trapezius that has been carrying your stress since Monday, the quadratus lumborum feeding a one-sided low back ache, the calves that never fully recovered from your last training block.
Your therapist starts by finding where the restriction actually lives, which is often not where the pain shows up. Sustained pressure, cross-fiber work, and cupping or gua sha where appropriate restore glide between tissue layers and reduce the guarding that keeps the pattern in place. Range of motion usually improves before soreness fully disappears - that is the change worth tracking.
Hot towels, hot stones, aromatherapy, cupping, and scraping are included where they help, not sold as upgrades. Warmed tissue is more responsive, so the deeper work lands with less discomfort.

Common questions
Before you book.
- Does deep tissue massage hurt?
- It should feel intense but tolerable - you should still be able to breathe normally. Pressure that makes you brace works against the goal, so tell your therapist and it will be adjusted.
- How long should my first deep tissue session be?
- For a specific complaint like low back or neck pain, 60 minutes is the usual starting point. Full-body work with focused problem areas is better served by 90 or 120 minutes.
- Will I be sore afterward?
- Mild soreness for 24 to 48 hours is common after deeper work and typically resolves with water, gentle movement, and rest.
- How often should I come in?
- For active pain, weekly or biweekly for the first four to six weeks, then monthly maintenance once things settle.
